So today I hosted my first baby shower in Germany, it did not go like I had hoped...At the RSVP deadline I had only 2 RSVP's other than myself and the person I was giving it to. How do you explain that nicely to such a sweet person, SORRY no one wants to go to your shower...UGGGHHHH...So I talked to her and told her I would just take her and the other 2 ladies out for lunch or dinner my treat but she said lets do a cook out....Well once that got put into play, between adults and children we had over 20 coming. So I was happier and felt better about the other ladies not coming. Well I woke up this morning and headed to get all the food, several hundred dollars later I come home to almost EVERYONE canceling. It ended up being the Garcia family, Frahm family, and my family and she took home one gift. I felt horrible!!! I pushed her into having a shower b/c I thought it would be a good time for her to get to know people better and really feel like a part of Faith. I am just so sad, I know people are busy this time of year but how I wish atleast one or two could have made it out to show support. I am hosting another shower in January and I actually told her tonight that I was not so sure now lol....I will and I just pray maybe that it is a better time or whatever the cause was....Any how just really bummed....We all still had a good time of fellowship but I am just not use to people not going to things...I mean when I was living with my grandparents our church was small but let me tell you EVERYONE was there to show support for showers and weddings etc....I guess it is just a new generation and everyone gets so busy with life that relationships and things take a back seat....

that's such a bummer. Those invitations were so cute too! I would totally have come if I was in the country and invited :) I love baby showers. :) That stinks that people couldn't come.
Wow Brandi! I'm so sorry I wasn't available, I would definitely have come. I love showers, or any party for that matter. When's the shower in January? I won't be back until probably the 29th but if it's after that I'll come. :)
