Happy 2009!! We rang in the New Year with the Garcia Family; Charlie, Stephanie, Lillie, Alex, and still baking Isaac. Charlie grilled up some brats and steaks that were oh so very YUMMY. We "rocked out" with Rockband and sing star, it was fun but very FUNNY. Shane and I are not very "musical", ok ok NOT musical at all!! The kids played like wild little animals as usual and seemed to enjoy being together with friends. Kempi managed to bite through his lip, jumping on a bed, so he got little sympathy lol...We ended the night with yahtzee and fire works....Fireworks are very intense here and people go CRAZY!! A few of them I thought we could just reach up and touch b/c we were so close. No one pays attention to anyone else they all do their own thing. The sounds are even louder and more crazy than any 4th of July in the states. The history behind the fireworks and all the noise is, they are "scaring" away the evil spirits. Well w/all the noise etc. they can scare away ANYTHING...The noise lasts for HOURS and the sky stays lit up most of the night. At one point it almost felt like we were under attack on all sides lol...Hayden watched for only a few minutes and than he insisted it was lightening and he was going in where it was safe. I told him it was just the fireworks lighting up the sky but he refused to believe me haha...Everyone needs to experience a European Silvester!! Anyhooo.....A big THANK YOU to the Garcia's for having us over and we hope that 2009 will be spent with friends :)....Much luv to all......I'm......OUT!!

If I didn't think it would replace EVERYTHING in my life, I would have Rockband!! Thinking about getting Guitar Praise for the computer though :-). Played that with Jan in the youth room a month or so back...Awesome!!
It sounds like you guys had a good time. We had some of the fam. out @ our house. We played Rockband & Singstar. We love that!!! We just had some party poppers, we had some fireworks, but didn't mess with them.
Toby---How do you do the wordpress thing?? I am not computer literate :)...I'll have to check out the guitar praise thing b/c I asked my friend if they had any christian stuff out yet and she didn't know of any...
Misty...I wish I could have been there with you guys :(....I miss you all sooo much. Cannot wait until MARCH...Luv ya tons!!!
