Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9
Yesterday, June 16, Paige put on the ever dreaded headgear. The process was a little painful for her she said. There was a lot of tugging and "banging" to get the appliances in place that support the gear. She was also measured and molded for the lumbar, which they will place next week and she is already praying it doesn't hurt. It took her about 30 min. to get it on last night but I told her with practice she will be doing it in minutes. After wearing it for about an hour last night she got a really BAD headache that NOTHING would touch. It was a really restless night at Shugart Manor, I felt horrible for her. She is a tummy sleeper too and there is NO way to tummy sleep w/that thing lol....Within minutes of her taking it off this morning though, her headache went away, so I was VERY thankful. It will take some adjusting but she is taking it in stride....Not a whole lot of complaints, she even said it doesn't look as bad as she thought it would. So here is her adventure yesterday...
ABOUT TO GO INSIDE THE OFFICE

Poor Paige! I had a headgear...I got my braces right at the end of 4th grade...luckily, I only had to wear it at night. Boy was I glad to be done with that thing! Good Luck Paige!
How long did you have to wear your Caren? They haven't given us a time frame and Paige is hoping NOT 2 years lol...She is still having headaches everytime she wears it, do you adjust to it? Or is she always going to get a headache? I am just wondering and I have NO INFORMATION to give her...thanks for any help
