As I sat "balancing" out all of the funds for Kids Korner for the last year, I felt a little bitter/sweet. I am thankful that God gave me the opportunity to "handle" such a big ministry, and thankful He now will give me rest. I however, am going to miss the children of the ministry and all the "doing" for them. I will miss "organizing" the curriculum and all the FUN stuff about Kids Korner. I will however, NOT miss the recruiting and CRAZY Thursday mornings when almost EVERYONE calls in sick etc...The kids of Faith have truly touched my heart and remind me everyday how to walk by Faith. As this chapter closes and a new one begins, I will ALWAYS cherish the children of Kids Korner..
I ask that if you have a minute and God calls this to mind, please pray for the servant God wants to lead this ministry next year. I pray it be a person who has a heart not only for the children but a heart for the mothers. I pray that when the stress begins that she will rest in Him...I pray that when she feels overwhelmed, He will bring her peace. I pray that she remember it is NOT just about the children and that her heart stay softened toward the moms. I pray that her focus be completely on God and she allows Him to lead her. Most importantly, thank God for supplying servant hands to lead this beautiful ministry!!! I know He is calling and I pray she will hear His voice and respond without hesitation......Thank you...much luv...I'm out!!!
P.S. On a side note, as I was calculating and adding up; for the fall we had 61 registered children and for the winter/spring we had 85 children......God is good...Now let us harvest the very ripe fields!!!
